Specifications include, but are not limited to: URI is solicitating vendor for the Keaney Gymnasium East Facade Restoration Project which consists of the construction of the following types of work: 1. Brick masonry restoration, roofing, stone repair and cleaning, plaza drainage and paver work, interior floor and base finishes repair, stone and brick replacement.; 2. Abatement of asbestos encountered during repair work as described in Attachment C; Base Bid is all masonry and roofing work within the main portion of the east façade; A. Scope of demolition and removal work is noted on drawings plus as specified in individual specification sections as necessary for repair work.; B. Scope of alterations work is shown on drawings and/or as specified herein.; C. Site modifications: Add Alternate # 1 scope of plaza alterations is shown on drawings and/or as specified herein. Project includes removal and reset of stone work, added drainage system, and other repairs.; D. Architectural modifications: Scope of masonry and roof work is shown on drawings and/or as specified herein. Work includes but is not limited to removal of damaged materials, treatment of materials to remain, addition of flashing, replacement of a roof drain and surrounding roof repair, new edge fascia, stone cleaning, repair and replacement, and brick masonry restoration.; E. Base Bid is all masonry and roofing work within the main portion of the east façade. Add Alternates 2 thru 4 expand the work area to the Towers, add lighting restoration, and to corner building sections.; Abatement Plan: 1. Retesting of roof mastics and materials in areas of removal.; 2. Preparation of a State Abatement plan for problem materials (assume ACM in mastics, sealant at parapet, and parapet flashings, as noted in prior testing); 3. Abatement with proper documented disposal in areas disturbed only.; 4. Testing and permitting including all fees required by RI regulations.
