Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Pipe Inspection System and components must meet the following specifications: Overall System • The system must be capable of inspecting pipe ranging in size from 8” diameter up to 36” diameter. • The system must be portable enough to be easily loaded into a mid-size sport utility vehicle when needed, and the complete system must be able to be carried by a two-person crew when access for vehicles is limited. Any system that is not sufficiently portable will be deemed unacceptable. • The system shall be capable of running from a battery system with a minimum charge of 8 hours. The battery shall be rechargeable in approximately 90 minutes. The system shall have the option to run on direct power in addition to battery power. • The system shall have the capacity to be expanded upon and upgraded to allow for the addition of future components, giving access to new technology. • Storage/transport cases for all equipment are desired. • The system must be generally maintenance free. Crawler • The crawler shall have a maximum weight of approximately 50 to 55 pounds and be carriable by an individual. • The crawler must be capable of operating in a minimum 8” diameter pipe with adequate clearance. • The crawler must be steerable. Any crawlers that are not steerable will be deemed unacceptable. • The crawler must have power forward and power reverse modes with variable speed control. • Speed and direction of the crawler must be remotely controlled from the controller. • The crawler must be pressurized to prevent water damage. The crawler shall have a water depth rating not less than 33 feet (1 bar). The system shall be sealed and maintenance free. • Waterproof at a minimum of IP68 standards. • All Wheel Drive (AWD) or Four Wheel Drive (4WD) system.
