Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.2.2 Operating Conditions. There may be plots that do not have any roads traveling through the parcel or up to the ownership boundary (will require walk-in). Some roads are gated, and some roads are closed to vehicle travel by kelly humps or some other immovable feature. There also may be plots that have restricted motorized access during certain times of the year due to Grizzly bear restrictions. Access information, padlock combinations and keys to locked gates can be obtained from state personnel located at the Hamilton Unit office. The plots are located south of Hamilton, MT with the majority inside the Sula State Forest. 4.2.3 Work Progress. A pre-work meeting will be scheduled by the Contractor and the state’s Contract Supervisor to discuss contract provisions and requirements. 4.2.4 Contractor Responsibilities. The Contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, materials, and incidentals necessary to satisfactorily complete the contractual duties, including all safety equipment required by current laws and regulations. The Contractor assumes full responsibility for the safety of their employees, equipment, and supplies. 4.2.5 State Responsibilities. State shall furnish: A Contract Supervisor to acquaint the Contractor with the work to be performed and to conduct periodic inspections. Access to state parcels is across private land and federal property. The Contractor will be responsible for getting access to state parcels. State personnel at each Unit office listed below will help the contractor with information, keys and combinations for locked gates and closed roads. The Contractor shall contact the Contract Supervisor if access to a state parcel cannot be obtained. There will likely be plots that will be accessible only on foot.
