Specifications include, but are not limited to: 6 vessels have a Ned-Deck Marine SCH 12-3,5R davit system with a Ned-Deck Marine 4.40 rigid hull aluminum rescue boat equipped with a forty (40) horsepower Evinrude two cycle outboard motor. The rescue boat/davit system is equipped with a CAR 35 Release Hook.; 1 vessel is equipped with a Coastal Marine D50-14.75-11.24 Left Hand davit system with a 50 hp Evinrude motor mounted on a Zodiac MilPro SR1500 N10272/N10247 RHIB rescue boat. The rescue boat/davit system is equipped with a Cranston Eagle APR-206-CB/CBH single point release hook; The Contractor shall perform annual maintenance and testing of each system and include weight testing.; The Contractor shall supply and replace the Fall Wire Rope as directed (as part of a 4-year replacement schedule).; x Ned-Deck davit system: Fall Wire shall be 25 meters long. The 4-point wire rope bridle is constructed of 3/8” stainless steel meeting AWR Certification Number 15- A-461 B specification. The auxiliary wires are 1/8” stainless steel 7x19 ssac-t304. The release hook is a CAR 35 (or equivalent) from Ned-Deck Marine.; x Coastal Marine davit system: Fall wire shall be 9/16” x 120’ 19x7 Galv. W/WRT 1 end piece SS SLV. The release hook is a CAR 35 (or equivalent) from Ned-Deck Marine. Maintenance and testing of the CAR hook will be in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and regulatory requirements.; Unless directed otherwise, the Contractor shall service the vessels at the Rockland Terminal or the Rockland Marine Shipyard (Rockland, Maine) during normal shipyard period. If necessary, with advanced notice, servicing may be required outside shipyard period. This may be Tremont (Bass Harbor) Maine or Lincolnville, Maine. The Contractor may request an additional surcharge on their service bid price up to 20% for work occurring away from the Rockland Terminal or Rockland Marine Shipyard.; The Contractor shall be an authorized Ned-Deck and Coastal Marine certified agent/dealer and have ready access to all Ned-Deck and Coastal Marine parts, material, and technical support as may be needed.; All work and testing shall be in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations Title 46 Subpart W. The vessels are not SOLAS or IMO classed.; The Contractor shall have knowledge of US Coast Guard regulations as they pertain to subchapter H & K ferry vessels.; The Contractor shall have knowledge of all codes, OSHA requirements and Department safety policies as they relate ferry vessels.; The Contractor shall have and use properly, all Personal Protective Equipment needed to perform job duties and comply with established safety guidelines and procedures.; The Bidder shall be able to comply with the Contract Requirements, be able to deliver according to the contract schedule, and have a history of satisfactory performance.; The Bidder may be required to submit evidence of compliance with all Contractor Requirements set forth in this Contract.
