Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1. Goal/Objective 1: The Agency intends to design and construction new offices and conference rooms, with new interiors finishes (e.g., ceilings, walls, and floors), on a portion of the First Floor (security office and executive area), and the entirety of the Mezzanine, Second, Third, and Fourth Floors. Restrooms will be redesigned to ADA compliance, as possible. This work will include a structural engineering assessment of the capability of the Mezzanine floor to support housing a large volume of file cabinets.; 2.2. Goal/Objective 2: The Agency intends to update fluorescent light fixtures to LED fixtures throughout the Building in an overall effort to improve lighting and reduce energy consumption.; 2.3. Goal/Objective 3: The Agency intends to repair/reseal windows throughout the Building to preclude water intrusion. Several, if not most, windows are leaking, especially at the bottoms next to the sills.; 2.4 Goal/Objective 4: The Agency intends to perform analysis of the existing fire control system and update or replace all components to bring the system into current code. Vendor will be required to coordinate all design and construction with the WV State Fire Marshal.; 2.5 Goal/Objective 5: The Agency intends to administer the construction of occupied renovations for the tenant agency (WV State Tax Department), which the tenant continues to occupy the building. It is expected that construction will have to be designed and administered using a phased approach. It is also anticipated that the construction resulting from this design work will include AIA general conditions.
