Specifications include, but are not limited to: ARR 301 Café car is constructed with weathering steel sheeting over a weathering steel substructure. ARR 301 will be provided to the Contractor with the interior intact and care must be taken to ensure that the interior is not damaged or adversely affected throughout the duration of the work. All costs associated with the repair or replacement of any portion of the interior as either a direct or indirect result of the work performed under this Contract will be the Contractor’s responsibility. In preparation for paint, the Contactor shall remove all windows (along with their associated gaskets), grab irons, exterior lighting (e.g. vestibule & end lighting), louvers, trim, and any other appurtenances that are not intended to be painted. All items removed from the exterior of the café car are to be stored and protected from damage until re-installation. Special care is to be taken when handling the windows. All removed painted parts are to be stripped and repainted per the specifications in Appendix B prior to reinstallation.
