Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Safety of all contractor’s employees, Town employees, and the public, that may work in or utilize the Safety Service Building during completion of the project.; • The Contractor shall conduct all operations of the contract in a cooperative manner with the Sunapee Police and Fire Departments, and shall not interfere with the normal operation and function of the departments.; • The Contractor shall supply all drop clothes, tarps, sidewalk coverings, pavement coverings, window coverings and other materials that may be necessary to protect the existing building and its components from paint spills and spatters and/or other damage during execution of the work.; • The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials that may be necessary to complete the project.; • The Contractor shall complete the project between July 11th through September 30th, 2022.; • The Contractor shall pressure wash and brush clean all existing exterior surfaces of the building that will receive new paint, and shall remove all loose, peeling, blistering or scaling paint prior to priming or painting of any exterior building surfaces.; • All surfaces specified to be painted shall be dry and cleaned free of all dirt, grit, grease mold, mildew, foreign substances and all loose, peeling, blistering, chalking or scaling paint.; • The Contractor shall submit complete product data sheets for each material to be used in their contract and shall submit the same with his/her bid proposal.; • The Contractor shall provide written confirmation of compliance with the New Hampshire Code of Administrative Rules for VOC/VOS (Volatile Organic Compounds and Volatile Organic Substances).; • Painting and finishing products for use in the work shall be the standard best or top brands produced for each particular kind of material necessary to complete the project. The products shall also comply with the applicable federal specifications and shall be equal to the product of one of the following manufacturers: Amsterdam, Benjamin Moore, Dutch Boy, Glidden, Sherwin Williams, Mercury, Pittsburgh, Pratt and Lambert or Behr.; • The Contractor shall caulk all window trim, doorframes and trim, and all other trim boards as necessary.; • The Contractor shall prepare, prime and paint all exterior surfaces of the building that are currently painted including but not limited to all exterior walls, ceilings, doors, columns, trim boards, louvers, soffits gable ends, all previously painted electrical boxes, conduits, and other miscellaneous surfaces.; • All proposed building paint colors shall match the existing building paint colors, and samples of the proposed paint colors shall be submitted to the Town Highway Director and Building Maintenance Foreman for review and approval prior to painting of any surfaces.; • The Contractor shall clean and sweep the work site on a daily basis, clean and remove all miscellaneous debris at the completion of the project, and shall clean all paint spots from sidewalks, paved surfaces, building roofs, windows and other surfaces as necessary prior to departure from the site each day.; • Payment requisition schedule and methods shall be discussed and agreed to by the successful bidder and by the Town of Sunapee prior to beginning work on the project. Payment requisitions shall only be accepted for work completed, and that is approved by the Town at the time of the requisition.
