Specifications include, but are not limited to: Providing and maintaining equipment; Providing 24/7 monitoring center services with real time notification to County staff; Training and assisting County staff in the installation and troubleshooting of equipment and monitoring software; The EM systems are to be an active system with the capability of tracking the movements of offenders in the community on a 24-hour basis.; A. Hardware Requirements: Active GPS Tracking Unit must be the latest technology available from the manufacturer of the equipment and must be certified that the equipment presented to BCDC is new and is the manufacturer’s latest model.; Throughout the life of the contract, the Provider shall provide BCDC with the latest equipment model.; If the Provider is not the manufacturer of the equipment to be used, in this contract, then, the; Provider shall insure that the equipment is under warranty and obtain maintenance agreements with the manufacturer to repair its equipment at no additional expense to BCDC.; In the event that an inmate destroys or loses EM equipment, the Provider shall include on the price sheet, a line indicating the insurance BCFC should carry on the life of the contract. The Provider shall include a quote for the replacement value.; Proposal must include a one-piece, single-body worn device to BCDC.; Equipment shall be upgradeable and made available to BCDC with all new revisions, as they become available, at no cost to BCDC.; Proposal must include equipment specifications literature and warranty information from the manufacturer.; The active GPS unit must weigh less than 24 ounces.; The unit must not pose a safety hazard to the offender or others.
