Specifications include, but are not limited to: Prior to track & road closures: - Mobilize ARRC provided material from ARRC yard in Anchorage to job site(s); - Construct new track; During allowed track closures (per site: 1x 12hr, additional 8hr as needed): - Remove & discard existing rail, ties, and hardware materials (exceptions are noted in the location specific information below); - Excavate & Embank; o Excavate 7' either side of track CL to 16" below tie & dispose of material offsite; o Compact subgrade to 95% using 12 ton compactor; o Install geotextile fabric, as specified.; o Embank ballast to within 2" of finish grade & compact with 12 ton compactor; - Install newly constructed track; - Dump ballast, surface and tamp using approved equipment with a 300' runoff and a minimum of 3 passes. Maximum raise of 1” allowed; - Install panels by pre-drilling holes prior to installing concrete crossing screws (track must be regulated & free of ballast prior to installation of panels); - Re-grade/repair any disturbed areas prior to demob
