Specifications include, but are not limited to: Replace current system with a new system that successfully performs all current business processes and implements best practices, including the following: • Initial Number of Users/Licenses: 8 (provide a cost per future additional users/licenses) o Inspectors and supervisor (5 total) need to write and edit permits. Three need to access data for purpose of reviewing and tracking. o Preference for registered users to share licenses (only one user utilizing a license at a time). • Location of software and data may be either on-premises or through SaaS. The City does prefer the location to be on-premises but desires a cost proposal for both options. Both options must be able to integrate with the various required City software. • Reliable mobile use for inspectors in the field. • The electronic permit requests are required to be as user friendly as possible for the permittee. Should have multiple user-friendly features and portray as much usable information for the permittee as possible. • More seamless processing of biweekly City payments to the City’s contractor • Must interface with the City’s GIS. o Utilize GIS and web-based permit applications to improve the permitting process for City employees and for permittees. o Improve map-making element of permit process.
