Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work is for conducting environmental investigations around sites where volatiles potentially have been released to the environment and sub-soil.; The Division of Waste Management is requesting a vendor to provide passive sub-soil vapor phase sampling devices and analytical services.; The vendor must be able to provide the equipment and analytical results for volatile organic carbons (VOCs) and be capable of plotting the results on a color distribution map.; The sampling device(s) should be capable of reaching a 3’ depth in the sub-surface and include a protective sleeve to prevent the walls of the boring from caving. The sampling device must be capable of fitting within a predrilled 1-inch diameter drill hole.; All results should be analyzed with an established EPA method and have a maximum of, a 14, business day turn around. The vendor will be responsible for shipping samples to and from DWM and will invoice agency for reimbursement of those costs.; The awarded Lab should have the ability to receive samples through mail or standard courier such as Fed EX, UPS and/or DHL.; The sample kit should be light enough to be carried in the field by one person.; Vendor shall provide packing slips and packaging for soil samples.; Vendor will provide chain of custody sheets with sample devices and return a copy of sheet.; Vendor will supply any specialized tools needed to install and retrieve the soil samples.; Vendor will provide all necessary instructions for installation, retrieval, and care to ensure high quality analytical data.; Field Blank - Any necessary samples to analyze background and laboratory procedures will be provided by awarded vendor. If field blanks have defects, they should indicate that the deployed samples may be impacted by something other than in the environmental media analyzed.
