Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Community Connector is a fixed route public transit system operated by the City of Bangor for the communities of the Greater Bangor (Maine) Urbanized Area. The Community Connector will be referred to as CC in the remainder of this document. Community Connector (CC) is interested in moving away from the manual processes that are currently in place, with the intent of improving the speed and accuracy by which fixed route operational data can be collected and used. The CC is planning to make system-wide technological enhancements to improve the quality of transit service and customer information as well as its operational efficiency, security, and customer satisfaction by deploying Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies on fixedroute and paratransit services. This Transit Technologies project is a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funded projected and will be administered by the City of Bangor Information Technology (IT) Department and Community Connector (CC).
