Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Claremont is soliciting proposals for the replacement of carpeting in the following areas of the Fiske Free Library: • Main floor including office spaces • Stairs to and floor of microfilm loft • Emergency exit stairs • Stairs and landing leading from main floor to basement • Carpeted area of basement adjacent to restrooms The selected contractor will provide the City of Claremont with professional services to realize the successful implementation of all aspects of this scope. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating work with all sub-contractors, if needed. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following elements: • Remove and dispose of existing carpet in the areas named above. • Prepare floors for the installation of new carpeting including leveling if required according to manufacturer’s specifications. • Furnish and Install commercial grade carpet tiles suitable for a high traffic environment. (colors to be selected) • Contractor shall furnish all permits, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and services necessary to complete the work. • All tools, staging, unused materials and debris to be organized and put away at days end. • Schedule work in coordination with the Library staff to minimize disruption to library services.
