Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary purpose of the LC-MS/MS triple stage quadrupole system being procured is to meet the needs of faculty within CCEE for specialty mass analyses of water, wastewater and other environmental samples as well as other users within Iowa State in need of a system configured in this manner. In addition, a duplicate UHPLC system to that used for the LC-MS/MS front end will also be procured separately along with the LC-MS/MS QQQ system.; polarity switching—fast & robust with adequate stabilization time; dilute and shoot efficacy; delay column implementation (between LC pump & autosampler; including diol column) for PFAS with no carryover issues; PFAS free, low background plumbing kit for LC system; sensitivity--dynamic range--pulse counting speed; selectivity--signal to noise; hard to ionize samples performance and ionization efficiency; ability to employ ESI/APCI/APPI probes; scan rate and reaction monitoring (SRM/MRM); flow range and injection size; collision cell design; quadrupole design; system linear ion trap compatibility; QQQ mass range; LC component of the LC-MS/MS system and the identical standalone LC system: binary pump; split sampler; varied operation pressure; varied flow rates; temperature-controlled column compartment with 2P-6P switching valve; Standalone UHPLC system should be outfitted with a wide dynamic range photodiode array detector, and a suitable semi-micro flow cell with overpressure protective measures.; Both LC systems should be configured with PFAS free, low background plumbing kit and the ability to accommodate fast column and sample loop changes and fast maintenance of the systems.
