Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Complete Asbestos Contractor services to the State, including: • Removal, disposal and/or encapsulation of asbestos and all other related work associated with this work • All proper tools and equipment, equipment rental required to perform the job requested • All insulating material, protective coverings, coatings, & furnishings to all types of mechanical systems. • All preparation, wetting, stripping, removal scrapping, vacuuming, bagging & disposing of all insulation materials, weather the contain asbestos or not, from mechanical systems. • Documentation of compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. 2. In consideration of situations requiring emergency response, bids shall be considered only from firms located within a fifty (50) mile radius from Providence, RI. 3. All license applications from Asbestos Contractors shall include a written respiratory protection program in accordance with the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134(c) and 29 CFR 1101(h). This program shall be posted at all projects requiring asbestos abatement activities over more than a single day.
