Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this RFQ is to establish primary source(s) for UNLV’s Engineer requirements for projects of the scope levels indicated. Successful Proposers to this RFQ will be required to enter into a contract with UNLV for an initial term of one year with an option to renew, for up to an additional three (3), one-year periods by mutual written agreement. Contracts will have similar terms and conditions to the form Agreement (included with this RFQ as Exhibits A-E) for the specific engineering specialty. Proposers may submit Proposals, with separate and unique responses, for more than one (1) specialty. The specialties for which UNLV is seeking on-call Engineers are listed below in this Section D. Successful Proposers will be required to maintain a local office which is within a fifty (50) mile radius from UNLV. The local office must be staffed with primary project personnel. Once the list of on-call engineers is established, when a particular job arises and it is determined that an on-call Engineer shall be utilized, a designated UNLV Project Manager shall solicit proposals from all qualified on-call Engineers. The UNLV Project Manager will work directly with the selected on-call Engineer for the duration of the project. However, the Engineer shall not begin work until UNLV’s Purchasing and Contracts Department issues a Purchase Order.
