Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contextual and conceptual translation of English newsletters, rather than literal translation, is required, resulting in a “transcreation” of the content in order to make the content relevant and meaningful to Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers of young children. The “voice” and tone of the transcreation is family-oriented, as opposed to translating text for the business community. Translation from English into Spanish (Mexico dialect) should target approximately a fourth-sixth grade reading level. Transcreation should be culturally appropriate; intimate knowledge of the LatinX community is required. Many library and literacy concepts are used in the English versions of newsletters; therefore, knowledge of the library environment and/or literacy development is required. Knowledge of traditional Spanish songs and rhymes is required. Where “translate” is used throughout this document, the expectation is “transcreation.” I.
