Specifications include, but are not limited to: Kansas State University seeks an external consultant as a partner providing strategic planning, evaluation, facilitation and associated support services to support the design and implementation of a university-wide transparent and inclusive strategic planning process and a new strategic plan. The planning process will include five key components: • affirming core values, mission, and collective vision as a next-generation land-grant university; • establishing programmatic priorities and strategies with measurable outcomes to support research, teaching, outreach/engagement, international activities, and economic development; • identifying strategic and more efficient structures to support our programmatic priorities and best practices to support our growing needs; • identifying fiscal and investment strategies to support our programmatic priorities, including creating transparent and defendable uses for our recurring and non-recurring funds and new resource opportunities (i.e., competitive research, new partnerships, and philanthropy) with strategies to realize their maximum potential; and • creating marketing and branding strategies that connect our core values, collective vision, and strategic direction with the unique K-State experience so it can be embraced and marketed across and at all levels of the university and our affiliated organizations (KSU Foundation, KState Alumni Association, and K-State Athletics).
