Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Finance & Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering & Contract Administration (DECA) is seeking design services for Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS) Jefferson Community Technical College (JCTC) to construct a 400-500 parking space garage at the corner of Broadway and First Street in Louisville, Kentucky. Indicated as “Parking 3” on the attached map. The main campus of Jefferson Community and Technical College needs this parking structure to provide adequate parking since a portion of the existing ground parking lot nearby is being used to construct a new science building related to the Hartford Tower replacement project. There is an historic building on the street level at the location planned for the parking garage, named “Michael Murphy Building”, that runs along First Street. It is the intention of this project to preserve the historic façade of this building and to develop mixed-use functions in that space. The space involved in this Michael Murphy Building is approximately 18,510 gsf. It is to be used for Retail and Academic functions as determined during design. The design of this parking structure is to respect and reference the historic façade of the Michael Murphy building being preserved and the historic character of the surrounding area of Louisville.
