Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Job analysis which will consist of an interview with WPD Training Captain and his WPD designate(s) and Human Resources staff; review of the job description, organization chart and other materials; and reviewing relevant and current standard operating procedures.; 2. Develop a reading list for candidates, and an outline of subject areas to be included on the written test. These lists are to be reviewed by the WPD staff and Human Services staff and may be revised by mutual agreement. The reading list and announcement shall be issued the week of August 1, 2022 with the written examination following in January 2023.; 3. Develop a 100 question written multiple choice examination to serve as the screening process prior to the Oral Examination.; 4. Administration of the written test will be conducted on-site in Wichita, KS. Administered by WPD staff.; 5. Scoring and analyzing the written test and providing the scores to the WPD. Master score cards to be submitted and WPD would score the examination. The WPD will conduct a review and appeal process. The consultant will review each appeal and provide a written recommendation to the WPD as to whether the appeal should be granted or denied. Appeals would be judge on a case by case bases.
