Specifications include, but are not limited to: Applicants shall clearly describe their proposed approach to meet the goals and objectives set forth by LD 691: to provide incentives to federal food and nutrition assistance program participants for the purchase of locally grown fruits and vegetables and to support outreach for and administration of programs that offer nutrition incentives to participants of federal food and nutrition assistance programs. To do so, Applicants shall describe their plan to: Address food insecurity and provide nutrition incentives in one or more of the below ways: Match contributions from private or public sources that provide nutrition incentives to participants of federal food and nutrition assistance programs; Support outreach for programs that offer nutrition incentives to participants of federal food and nutrition assistance programs; or Support administration of such programs.
