Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bid Item - 1: Waste collection at Middle and High Schools, Southeast Technical Institute, Instructional Planning Center, Central Services Center and all Elementary Schools throughout the District. Bid Item - 1 utilizes Vendor provided containers and required pickups as outlined in attached spreadsheet, Garbage Service – Bid Item 1, dated April 29, 2022. Unit Price 1-A: Sets forth the price for additional 4 yd dumpster pickups at schools on an irregular basis. The contractor will be notified by telephone the day before the pickup is to be made. Unit Price 1-B: : Sets forth the price for servicing 4 vendor provided 8 yd dumpsters at Howard Wood Field on an irregular basis. The contractor will be notified by telephone the day before the pickup is to be made. Pickups will generally be required from September through November, and March through May. Unit Price 1-C: Sets forth the price of servicing a vendor provided 20-yard construction dumpster on a permanent basis at 1101 North Western Avenue. The contractor will be notified by telephone when pulls are to be made. Dump weight fees will be reimbursed each time a pull is made. Bid Item 2: Single Steam collection of recyclable mixed paper, cardboard, tin, plastic and aluminum from all High Schools, Middle Schools, Elementary Schools, Central Services, Instructional Planning Center, Howard Wood Field and Southeast Technical Institute. Bid Item 2 utilizes Vendor provided containers and required pickups as outlined in attached spreadsheet Recycling Service – Bid Item 2, dated April 20, 2022. Unit Price 2-A: Sets forth the price for additional pickups at schools on an irregular basis. The contractor will be notified by telephone the day before the pickup is to be made. Unit Price 2-B: Sets forth the price for the pickup of District wide electronics recycling on an irregular basis. The pickup location will be at Central Services, 1101 North Western Avenue. The contractor will be notified by telephone the day before the pickup is to be made. Recyclables, the contractor shall indicate in the space provided on the bid form reimbursement rate/amount and manner of payment for mixed paper, cardboard, tin, plastic and aluminum. Bid Item 3: Addresses pulling and emptying twenty (20) cubic yard compactors at four locations, at the Food Service Center, 1101 North Western Avenue; Roosevelt High School, 6600 West 41st Street; Washington High School, 501 North Sycamore and Jefferson High School, 1600 N Marion Road. These must be emptied on a "per call" basis as the service is needed. Interested bidders should indicate their rate "per pull" on the bid proposal form in the space provided. Bidders are responsible for being familiar with the location and operating instructions and procedures for each compactor before bids are submitted. The contractor will be notified by telephone when pulls are to be made.
