Specifications include, but are not limited to: Dental Care The dental care for each youth shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following: • Routine dental services including cleaning, extractions, fillings, and dental hygiene. • Dental sealants and topical fluorides will be provided as deemed necessary by the dentist. • Dental screening shall include charting decayed, missing, and filled teeth, and taking a dental history for the purpose of identification of problems. • Youth who are in facility residence in excess of six (6) months, upon referral to the dentist, will receive an additional dental examination to consist of notation of external and internal structure of the mouth, abnormal function, diseases of the mucous membrane and jaws, and diseases of the teeth and supporting structures. The examination will consist of diagnostic x-rays, testing of pulp, if applicable, and susceptibility of cavities.
