Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide guidance and advice to University’s Office of General Counsel on various Higher Education Construction Litigation matters including, but not limited to: a. Legal Opinion, b. Analysis, c. Counsel, d. Procurement for Public Institutions 2.2 Experience in all aspects of the legal issues associated with a State of Texas Institution of Higher Education: a. Board governance b. Texas Open Meetings Act c. Roberts Rules of Order d. Federal, state, and local laws e. Board policies and procedures f. Legal principles applicable to State of Texas universities and Institutions of Higher Education 2.3 Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the State Bar. 2.4 Provide advice to University on rights and responsibilities based upon experience, research, and investigation.
