Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Review the basic and supplemental life, vision, short- and long-term disability, and pre-paid legal services aspects of the County of El Paso’s benefit programs to ensure price competitiveness, service and benefit access at optimum levels.; 2. Maintain or improve the benefit levels in force, if economically feasible.; 3. Improve cost minimization by investigating alternatives.; 4. Assess long term alternatives for managing the employee benefits programs.; VALUE ADDED SERVICES: In addition to the core services requested and currently provided, the County of El Paso is interested in any additional Value-Added Services that your organization may offer. Proposer is invited to provide a description of any additional services that may meet that description, such as educational seminars, on site wellness support and initiatives, health fair involvement, et cetera.; The County of El Paso is also looking to partner with an insurance company that will administer the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The County currently handles FMLA internally and would like to find a viable resource to assume or assist with that responsibility. Currently, the County has an onsite representative who provides FMLA administration services for approximately five to eight hours per week. Additionally, the County, as part of the FMLA services provided, has access to AbsenceSoft, a leave management system that helps employers manage and streamline leave requests to include FMLA. Provide detailed information on how you think your company is qualified and can provide FMLA services on our behalf.; ADMINISTRATION MATERIALS: During the term of the contract, the Proposer will provide all applicable claim/enrollment forms, provider directories, survey forms, summary plan description booklets, postage and other administrative materials. All costs for these items will be included in their proposal.; BENEFIT PLAN YEAR: January 1 to December 31. However, the County of El Paso reserves the right to change the plan year time frame in the future
