Specifications include, but are not limited to: he Contractor will expose bare mineral soil on 30 to 35 percent of the area. The Contractor shall repair all existing facilities, such as, but not limited to, roads, erosion dips, barriers, and drainage facilities, if damaged or removed by the Contractor. Landing piles that have been burned will be re-piled or scattered at the discretion of the Contract Liaison. Unburned landing piles will require rehabilitation. This work will include gathering slash mat surrounding piles, and piling, and pulling in edges. Where fuel loading exceeds 10-15 tons/ acre, piling will be required. Piles will be constructed in a manner that will allow full consumption when burned. Some units have heavy fuel loadings. Anticipate higher than normal amounts of piling to meet specifications. Unit boundaries are marked with fluorescent orange flagging and three horizontal orange stripes painted on tree’s facing into the unit
