Specifications include, but are not limited to: Water Treatment Chemicals Cleaning chemical must be designed for hydronic system(s) and compatible with pipes, fittings, coils, valves, equipment, etc. The entire piping loop of the 130 loop, the 180 loop and the chilled water loop must be cleaned and flushed with Suez Technologies Ferroquest 7103 or approved equal by owner. The terminal valves will be in “open position” during cleaning process. Ensure all isolation valves, automatic control valves, etc. are wide open to facilitate complete filling of the system. Coordination with temperature controls contractor is required to ensure valves are programmed open during the entire cleaning process and to close when the flushing process is complete. The use of this cleaner must be maintained at a 1.5% solution and supported through testing throughout the cleaning and flushing process. The solution must circulate in each piping loop for a period of 3 days minimum and maintain a temperature up to 140 degrees F before removing from system by dilution. Once WTC has determined that cleaner has properly cleaned the hydronic system, and pH levels meet manufacturer guidelines, system will be flushed with water to ensure by-products are removed by dilution. During the flushing process, system strainers, screens, valves will be assessed while system is flushing to ensure they are free from debris. Once the system has been cleaned and flushed with Ferroquest 7103, Suez Technologies Spectrus NX1100 or approved equal by owner must be used to remove micro-biological organisms present in each system.
