Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCOPE OF WORK: FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTION Quarterly (4 times per year) inspections of wet type systems in accordance with NFPA 25 Standard for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection. Test flow of main drain to include static pressures. Inspect and test water flow alarms. Inspect and test sprinkler switches. Inspect piping, fittings, and hangers from floor level and orientation of heads. Inspect clearances of spray patterns in accordance with NFPA standards. Document and forward test reports to the Director of Facilities. Testing Certificates are to be issued. Restore system to normal working conditions. Verify system is back in service. SCOPE OF WORK: FIRE PUMP INSPECTIONS Annual inspection in accordance with NFPA 25 Standard for the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems and NFPA Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection. Conduct pump performance test. Verify pump speed at minimum, rated and peak flows. Verify relief valve setting. Operate water flow and alarm switches. Confirm valve positions. Document and forward test reports to the Director of Facilities. Testing Certificates are to be issued. Restore system to normal working conditions. Verify system is back in service. SCOPE OF WORK: FIRE ALARM INSPECTIONS Annual inspection in accordance with NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code and the Rhode Island State Fire Safety Code ā twenty-five (25%) every three (3) months. Inspect fire alarm and detection system is in working condition. Inspect and test devices for initiating capability, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, pressure switches, flow switches, remote panels, and annunciators. Inspect and test control panels for operations and a functional test of components/modules, emergency power switchover, and battery back-up . Inspect and test initiating devices for operations including horn strobes, audiovisuals, strobes only, electric bells and sirens. Inspect batteries. Document and forward test reports to the Director of Facilities. Testing Certificates are to be issued. Restore system to normal working conditions. Verify system is back in service. SCOPE OF WORK: FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS Semi-annual inspections in accordance with NFPA 17, 17-A Standards for Dry and Wet Chemical Extinguishing Systems, NFPA 96 Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations, and all applicable Rhode Island State Fire Safety Codes. All inspections, tagging, servicing, and repairs are to be included in scope of contract including but not restricted/limited to; Tagging, changing fusible links, and changing actuator cartridges biannually Changing āSā hooks, Maintenance test, check/change chemical, gauges, O Rings, parts, ring collar, reassemble, pressure test. Ensure proper Hydro Testing of shell. Ensure proper installation and proper nozzle position. Document and forward test reports to the Director of Facilities and a copy of the test report shall be submitted to the Johnston Fire Department, Fire Prevention Office Testing Certificates are to be issued. Restore system to normal working conditions. Verify system is back in service.
