Specifications include, but are not limited to: COMMERCIAL GRADE CONCRETE: CGC Work items listed in 00440.14(a) may be field-mixed conventionally, or by volumetric/mobile mixers conforming to ASTM C685. When approved, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb ramps, concrete driveways, and other flat concrete surfaces may be fieldmixed using volumetric/mobile mixers conforming to ASTM C685, request approval prior to placement. For all other CGC applications, submit written request to the Engineer for approval to use volumetric/mobile mixers conforming to ASTM C685 at least 21 Days prior to placement.; CONCRETE BARRIER: Place precast barrier sections on the existing ground or a 3 foot wide aggregate leveling pad where required. The existing ground or aggregate leveling pad shall meet the appropriate smoothness requirement prior to placing the barrier.; CONCRETE: being used or have been used within the past 24 months on any project, public or private, may be submitted for review. Provide individual test results that comprise the average if more than one data point exists. For paving designs the flexural strength testing must be from within the last two years. For HPC designs the length change and permeability tests must be from within the last two years.; 1. The quantities in the bid item list are intended to serve only as a guide to bidders, and are not to be construed as a guarantee. All quantities are estimated, and are for bid purposes only. The quantity for each bid item includes all labor, equipment and materials for all activities associated with this project. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reserves the right to adjust quantities and add or delete, as needed.; 2. Contractor will be responsible for traffic control measures for all closures, based on approved traffic control plan (TCP). Submit TCP seven (7) days prior to pre-construction meeting to allow for review and approval.; 3. The total number of PCMS required for the project will be determined by the Contractor’s TCP. Contractor must include the messages to be displayed on their TCP. Abrupt edge PCMS signs will be required if a longitudinal abrupt edge is left.; 4. Contractor shall provide a schedule to the Project Manager seven (7) days prior to the pre-construction meeting to allow for review.; 5. Contractor shall schedule a pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager seven (7) days prior to the proposed start of construction.; 6. Any illegal camp cleanup required prior to the start of work will be coordinated by ODOT. The Contractor shall notify the Project Manager 10 working days before the scheduled start date to allow for the cleanup to be posted and completed. Contractor to account for this time in their schedule. Contractor shall occupy the site and begin work immediately following the camp cleanup. If there is evidence that additional cleanups will be required based on camper presence or personal property found at the site, notify the Project Manager so it can be scheduled. Contractor may not move or remove any personal property from the site. No monetary compensation will be considered for any camp cleanup delay.; 7. Any illegal camp cleanup required after the start of work will be coordinated by ODOT. The Contractor shall notify the Project Manager to allow for the cleanup to be posted and completed. Contractor shall occupy the site and continue work immediately following the camp cleanup. If there is evidence that additional cleanups will be required based on camper presence or personal property found at the site, notify the Project Manager so it can be scheduled. Contractor may not move or remove any personal property from the site. Any time delay caused by campers occupying the site after the start of work, when they had not been present prior to the start of work, will be added to the end of the contract. No monetary compensation will be considered for any camp cleanup delay.; 8. All utility locates are the responsibility of the Contractor.; 9. Protect all existing features and structures. Any damage to the existing features or structures will be repaired or replaced by Contractor as determined by the Owner’s Authorized Representative at no expense to the Agency.; 10. Contractor shall provide weigh slips for each load of commercial grade concrete placed.
