Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project has been organized into three (3) phases: 1. Preliminary Engineering and Design • Preliminary design of the software and supporting systems • Development of a traceability matrix to assure the requirements are accounted for in the design and testing of the ATMS • Development of a Systems Design Document that describes system functions, requirements, data exchanges, and the process for implementation and integration of system components 2. Development and Deployment • Development of all the software components • Implementation of all system components and interfaces • Integration of all DEPARTMENT ITS devices and relevant devices identified by the Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation (FAST) • Integration of third-party data sources, systems, and applications • Acceptance testing for verification of compliance with project requirements • Deployment and implementation of the ATMS and transitioning from the existing ATMS 3. Operations Support and Maintenance • Day-to-day operations support services • Ongoing system and software maintenance, updates, and response to back-end user concerns (e.g., servers and/or cloud services, security, system interfaces, software modules, webpages, mobile applications, etc.)
