Specifications include, but are not limited to : Task #1 – Surveying: Survey scope includes control survey, design survey, and surveying for Right of Way for the project corridors.; Survey all topographic elements needed for project design and construction purposes, including but not limited to roadway features, drainage features, ground breaks, utilities (above and below ground), ditch lines, and property corners. Perform topographic survey suitable to generate 1-foot contour intervals and to accurately design any changes in finished grade. Provide vertical and horizontal control within 0.01 foot accuracy.; Perform services necessary to establish the existing Right of Way and prepare ROW Lines for Construction Plans. If necessary, the survey task may include preparation of Parcel Plats for temporary and/or permanent easements after design has progressed enough to identify the needs. MSB will perform acquisition services with provided documents.; Task #2 – Plans, Specifications, & Estimate: Develop plans, specifications, and an engineer’s estimate for construction documents. Task milestones and deliverables include: Deliverables at 35% Design Show existing and proposed road surfaces with slope catch points; provide a full set of cross-sections. Show ROW limits, location and owner of all utilities within the ROW, existing culverts, and other existing features within the ROW, including all encroachments. The plans shall include a table that shows the project length and basic design criteria including roadway width(s), functional class, estimated traffic volumes, and design speed. No later than the 35% design, provide each utility company (Enstar, GCI, MEA, and MTA) with a copy of the base map to review the surveyed location of existing utilities. Utility coordination is only to verify accuracy and identify missing utilities, not to start preliminary utility design. Use a scale not smaller than 1:40 for the plans.; • Schedule a field review with MSB once 35% set is complete; • Provide one set of hard copies (11x17) at the site visit, and PDF file emailed; • Provide a design progress memorandum with the submittal; Task #3 – Assistance during Bidding: Assist the MSB as requested during project bidding. Personnel who were in responsible charge for engineering, and other personnel as necessary and appropriate, must be available to interpret and clarify documents prepared during project development and to assist the MSB with preparing any necessary addenda to the bid documents. Do not communicate about this project with any potential bidders.
