Specifications include, but are not limited to: RIC 2022-CB-009 consists of repairing a 14” long crack in one of the steel girders on Bridge 042501. The crack was as a result of impact damage from a vehicular collision. All repairs shall be performed at the locations and to the extents indicated on the Contract Plans and documents, in accordance with the latest edition of the Rhode Island Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction including all supplemental revisions, and as directed by the Engineer. The work encompassed by this project shall include, but is not limited to, the following: installation and removal of temporary work platforms; installation and removal of temporary traffic barrier; installation of temporary shoring; removal and disposal of the damaged portion of the steel girder; furnish, fabricate and erection of a new WT section spliced into the existing steel girder to remain, as shown on the plans.
