Specifications include, but are not limited to: : One of the strategic objectives of the South Dakota Department of Transportation (hereinafter referred to as SDDOT) is “Everyone Home Safe Everyday.” The short- and long-term goals under this objective related to workplace safety include reduce state vehicle and backing crashes, reduce workforce lost time injuries, and reduce snowplow truck crashes. ; • Assess the SDDOT against current best safety practices and benchmarks established by other public entities and private industry organizations.
