Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP is to solicit experienced contractors to assist the DOR in a tax administration system modernization project. Specifically, the modernization of existing tax administration technologies currently used to administer the sales and use tax, as well as the system currently used to register and title motor vehicles for South Dakota. These current tax administration technologies are nearing the end of their intended lifespan and the DOR is seeking experienced contractors to assist in the proactive planning and preparations necessary for the new system(s). The DOR is seeking contractors experienced in tax system modernization projects, with the technical expertise related to integrated tax systems, knowledge of the tax administration system(s) vendor market, and contractors with experience with successful tax administration modernization projects at the state and/or agency level.
