This project includes the application of new signage panels on existing concrete monument signage. The monument signage panels will be applied at two corner locations: Tropicana & Paradise and Tropicana & Koval.; 1. INSTALL NEW 'HARRY REID INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT' PANEL SIGNS ON TWO (2) EXISTING CONCRETE MONUMENT SIGNS.; 2. METHOD OF ATTACHMENT OF SIGN PANELS TO THE EXISTING CONCRETE MONUMENT STRUCTURE SHALL BE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL TO CCBD BY CONTRACTOR / SIGN INSTALLER BUT THE METHOD OF ATTACHMENT MUST MEET OR EXCEED THE STRUCTURAL CAPACITY AND DURABILITY OF THE BASIS OF DESIGN SHOWN IN THESE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.; 3. CONTRACTOR / SIGN INSTALLER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUBMITTING AND OBTAINING ALL NECESSARY BUILDING PERMITS REQUIRED FOR THE SIGNAGE SCOPE OF WORK SHOWN.; 3.1. SIGNAGE PANEL. Contractor to install new signage panels over existing "McCarran Airport" "signs" on concrete monument Signs A and B. Locations, extents, and details are provided in the drawing documents. Signage Panel logos and letters to be direct-printed onto DIBOND panels. 3.1.1. Basis of Design - DIBOND by 3A Composites USA, Inc., in Benton, KY - 270-527-4200 or 800-626-3365 - www.3acompositesUSA.com.;; 3.1.2. DIBOND aluminum composite material, composed of two light weight sheets of .012" aluminum and a solid thermoplastic core (polyethylene CAS #9002-88-4, 39-72% by weight, OSHA 10.0 total and 5.0 Resp.). DIBOND meets ASTM E-84, Class 1, and Class A criteria. Contractor to adhere to Manufacturer safety and handling requirements for the DIBOND product.; 3.1.3. DIBOND - 3MM thick each. Substrate material to be WHITE MATTE.; 3.1.4. Prepare surfaces in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines and requirements, cleaning surfaces of contaminates prior to printing.; 3.1.5. Where necessary to shape & cut DIBOND material(s), Contractor shall do so in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations.; 3.2. When preparing concrete monument sign for panel attachment, Contractor to drill hole into concrete surface and blow-out new hole to make free from dust, providing a clean, consistent connection between the existing concrete and each screw.; 3.3. Inks used for direct-printing shall be UV-cured, shall be resistant to fading as recommended by Manufacturer. Refer to 3A Composites Ink Supplier recommendations for direct-printing to DIBOND material.; 3.4. Sign ink colors based on CCDOA-approved Pantone ® colors. Refer to COLOR SCHEDULE on this sheet.; 3.5. Paint exposed screw heads with acrylic paint to match signage color where the screw penetrates the signage panel. Prepare and clean exposed screw heads with acetone to receive new paint prior to installation and painting. Refer to drawing documents for screw embedment, type, size, and locations on panels and monument signs.
