Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project 1 will involve preliminary plan and profile for reconstruction of 156th Street from Waterford Road to Meadow Drive. 156th Street will have an urban, four-lane 65’ B/B crosssection with left turn lanes at known full access points. This cross-section widens to 80’ B/B cross-section at the intersections with Waterford Road and Meadow Drive.; Project 2 will involve preliminary plan and profile for reconstruction of 184th Street from Meredith Drive to one mile north of Meredith Drive. 184th Street will have an urban, four-lane, 80’ B/B cross section. The plan and profile design at the Meredith Drive intersection will need to be coordinated with the preliminary concept for Meredith Drive, available from the City.; Both designs shall also analyze the waterway crossings to determine sizing of drainage structure at each creek crossing. The preliminary designs are to include plan and profile sheets showing proposed horizontal alignment and vertical profile, grading limits, cross sections at 50-foot spacing, and 120-foot ROW. The designs shall follow the City’s Complete Streets policy, including a ten-foot trail and five-foot sidewalk on one side of each roadway and a five-foot sidewalk on the other side of each roadway. Provide a separate fee for each roadway.; • Perform field survey as needed for intersections. LiDAR may be used for base information for preliminary work. Perform all surveying work necessary to prepare design plans described above based on the City of Urbandale’s horizontal and vertical control.; • Prepare preliminary construction plan sheets. Preliminary plan submittal to include typical sections, plan and profiles, existing and proposed right of way, approximate locations of known side roads, grading limits, and cross sections at a minimum.; • Prepare an engineer’s opinion of estimated construction costs with each submittal.; • Attend meetings with City staff. We are estimating a total of 2 meetings (kick off and concept plan comment review).; • Plans shall be produced with CAD (software must be compatible with MicroStation). Plan sheets shall be 11”x17”.; • At the completion of the project, the Consultant shall furnish a complete copy of all design calculations, correspondence, 1 hard copy of plan sheets, and design and plan CAD files to the City.
