Specifications include, but are not limited to: The following specifications describe the minimum requirements: Polymer Lid: Lid shall be BLACK and constructed out of modified Anti Float polyethylene material for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. Designed to withstand AASHTO H-10 AND H-20 loading in non-deliberate or incidental traffic areas. Not intended to be installed in road ways. Lid shall have molded keyhole. Lid shall have molded slid mount bracket for placement of AMR/AMI device. Lid shall have (1) molded knock out plug (1.88” x 2.50”), recessed (4-5/8” x ¼” deep). Lid shall seat securely and evenly inside meter box and not overlap the top edge of box. Lid must have (2) pieces of ½” rebar located in the lid for locating and resistance to floating. Lid shall have molded tread-pattern for skid resistance, tread pattern shall be minimum of .0188” x 0.938” x 0.150” deep. Lid shall have WATER METER molded into lid with minimum 1” characters. Lid shall have CITY OF HOT SPRINGS UTILITIES molded into lid with minimum of 9/16” characters, as per drawing attached, when requested Lid must retrofit existing concrete meter boxes with similar dimensions and be able to adjust in the field. Polymer Body: Body shall be BLACK and constructed out of modified polyethylene material for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. Body shall have minimum of 3/8” wall thickness. Body shall have crush resistant ribbing along outside of the box. Body shall have flange around the lid opening to prevent settling and aide in the adjustment to grade.
