Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.5.1. Security Officers shall comply in be knowledgeable with the post orders set forth by the State of Vermont. 2.5.2. Security Officers shall deliver professional customer service to the public and the employees of the State of Vermont and other stakeholders. 2.5.3. Security Officers shall wear State approved, Contractor issued security uniforms and maintain a neat and professional appearance according to uniform and grooming standards set forth by the BGS Office of Security. 2.5.4. Security Officers shall be able to maintain long periods on their feet and perform frequent patrols of property and investigate unusual or suspicious activity and response to various incidents. 2.5.5. Security Officers shall comply with environmental safety protocols at each site. 2.5.5.1. Security Officers shall recognize and respond quickly to potential safety issues. 2.5.6. Security Officers shall, in addition to post orders, perform frequent but randomly timed security checks of property including the inspection of buildings for damage or safety violations; ensure exterior doors and accessible windows are closed and secured; monitor lobby and lobby restrooms. 2.5.7. Security Officers shall operate building alarms as needed or necessary. State shall provide instruction and protocols to Contractor for handling building alarms. 2.5.8. Security Officers shall complete an electronic daily log and send to the State’s designated email address at the end of their shift. 2.5.9. Security Officers shall complete Incident Reports (online) as necessary. 2.5.10. Security Officers shall verify access of individuals attempting to gain unauthorized access to facilities and or vehicles.
