Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Two-Way Dual Language resources to be provided to Victoria Independent School District (VISD) must be aligned to the VISD vision and support VISD’s Strategic Plan, District Aims & current school improvement initiatives.; 2. Strong submissions will include dual language instructional materials, curriculum, professional development/coaching, services, and resources that: a. Provide professional development/coaching support to develop and implement the two-way dual language including opportunities for iterative continuous improvement, evaluation, and assessment.; b. Provide high quality instructional materials, detail curriculum, services and resources grounded in the standards and/or research-based best practices designed to meet the needs of diverse dual language learning populations including students working significantly above level as well as students working significantly below level.; c. Provide curriculum and program evaluation for inquiry-based instruction to solve real-world problems promoting active student engagement.; d. Provide lesson planning components that are needed to effectively create access to grade level standards in both program languages (Spanish/English), including a sample lesson plan; 3. Resources may be computer-based or in print format and may include level readers, decodable readers, student workbooks, manipulatives, education technology and ancillary materials. Resources may also include staff training to optimize instructional practices.
