Specifications include, but are not limited to: Includes the removal of the existing 16’ wide by ~10’ high damaged bridge; construction of cofferdams for bypass flows during construction; installation of a new 40’ long by 28’ wide bridge consisting of a concrete prestressed slab deck (7 pieces), with poured-in-place concrete abutments, footings and wingwalls; approximately 100 feet of roadway restoration and paving, including widening of the road at each bridge approach; placement of channel bed material and regrading along approximately 75 feet of the Gihon River; placement of bank rock in the vicinity of the new structure; installation of fasciamounted guard rail; relocation of a dry hydrant; and all associated road, bank, river and erosion control work.
