Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Prime Contractor shall be available to respond to service calls initiated by the Contract Administrator or Designee 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency service calls, as determined by Administrator or Designee, shall be responded by either phone, or email within four (4) hours. Non-emergency calls shall be responded to within two (2) business days by either phone or email. Preventative Maintenance work shall be performed Monday – Friday between 7:00am-3:30pm, excluding State holidays and State Government Closure days, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Contract Administrator. No work will be performed on weekends or Holidays recognized by the Department. The Prime Contractor shall only respond to service calls that have been generated through the Region’s Contract Administrator or Designee. The Contract Administrator or Designee will determine the response level of calls. If the Prime Contractor is unable to meet the response times noted above, the State reserves the right to secure emergency services from another Prime Contractor.; 2. The Prime Contractor shall employ only competent and satisfactory personnel to perform the required services efficiently an in a manner, satisfactory to the Contract Administrator. Should the Contract Administrator notify the Prime Contractor in writing that any person employed and providing service as part of the awarded Contract, and in the opinion of the Contract Administrator, is inadequate, disorderly, or otherwise unsatisfactory, that person shall no longer be involved in the execution of the awarded Contract without written consent of the Contract Administrator. The Prime Contractor should describe how competent and satisfactory personnel shall be provided along with appropriate staffing levels.; 3. The Prime Contractor shall employ a minimum of one (1) Master level Maine Licensed pesticide applicator with current license and with appropriate categories for the intended work. The Prime Contractor shall provide a Maine Commercial Applicator or Master Commercial Maine Applicator with the appropriate category to be on site for every application.; 4. Before beginning any work under the awarded Contract, the Prime Contractor shall submit the names of all persons who are responsible for job site safety under the Contract, and who are familiar with the OSHA regulations cited above, to the Contract Administrator. ; 5. Employees will wear name tags representing their Prime Contractor while working in all MaineDOT assigned locations under the awarded Contract.; 6. The Prime Contractor shall coordinate pest management activities with the Contract Administrator or designee. ; 7. The Prime Contractor shall continuously maintain adequate protection of all work covered by the awarded Contract from damage or loss and shall protect the property from injury or loss arising in connection with the awarded Contract, and shall make good any such damage, injury or loss including the adequate protection of adjacent property as provided by law and the awarded Contract.; 8. The Prime Contractor shall adhere to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) most recently published Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (29 CFR 1926) and general Occupational Safety and Health Standards (29 CFR 1910), where applicable, for the duration of any Contract or extension.; 9. Prime Contractor shall provide to the Contract Administrator, after award of contract, Material Safety Data Sheets and labels for all materials used in operations that may be classified as hazardous under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, regulated by the Maine Pesticide Control Board or registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency as a pesticide.; 10. The Prime Contractor is required to email the Contract Administrator the results of inspections once they are completed, including their location and findings.
