The 502d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Fort Sam Houston is seeking sources capable of providing all items and personnel necessary to supply a rental unit and install temporarily to building. 502d contracting may also be interested in purchasing this type of unit also if it is available for purchase in the current market. This notice is for planning purposes only and shall NOT be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services, and does NOT constitute a commitment (implied or otherwise) that a procurement action will be issued.
The purpose of this request for information is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. The NAICS code associated to the services is 532310 and the size standard is $38.5M. Responses to this notice are strictly voluntary. The Government is not liable for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. Interested parties are encouraged to respond with information not constrained by proprietary data rights. However, if proprietary data is included in your reply, please mark it appropriately.
DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT & SERVICES NEEDED:
Provide temporary 5000 CFM dehumidifier unit to support building 3820FSH, contractor shall connect to existing intake for outside air for HVAC system.
Provide all transportation and labor to install/disconnect hardware and electrical connection.
Only 208V is available at the buildings existing electrical panel, a 208/480V step up transformer may be needed, depending on the DOA voltage requirements provided.
Electrical power cannot be disconnected by circuit breaker, contractor will have to make connection to hot circuit (NO OUTAGE).
The outside air intake grill on the 5th floor will have to be removed prior to the connection of the temporary ducting. Contractor will reinstall outside air intake grill when the rental of equipment is completed and temporary ducting is removed.
The company shall provide all personnel, equipment, and materials to connect temporary ducting to the intake for outside air located on the 5th floor of building.
The contractor shall ensure the operation of the dehumidifier with Civil Engineering personnel before leaving and ensure that contractors installed ducting is not leaking.
The contractor shall provide 2 hour response time if there is any issues with the rental unit.
