Specifications include, but are not limited to: GENERAL PREPARATIONS The contractor will clean and repair the surfaces as described herein before painting or staining. The contractor will scrape, clean, repair, patch and sand all windows/trim, doors/ frames and exterior building trim to attain a clean dry surface to ensure paint adhesion. Taping and masking to prevent over-spray or back-rolling onto equipment or unpainted areas. The contractor will also remove and replace damaged or cracked caulking around door and window frames as necessary and caulk areas that maybe missing caulking. Flatten out and re-secure T1-11 as needed to improve the overall appearance of the Facility. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, permits, supervision, miscellaneous supplies, incidentals, transportation and anything else required to complete the contract requirements in a timely matter. The contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all waste materials in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. SURFACE PREPARATION All surfaces shall be prepared in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Surfaces to be painted or stained shall be clean and free of foreign material and completely dry before application of surface treatments, paint or stain. Oil and grease shall be removed from all surfaces prior to painting. The finished painted/stain surface will have a smooth professional appearance free from old paint patches and old flacking paint.
