Specifications include, but are not limited to: Playground Design Requirements: The details of the playground design should include, but are not limited to: • Maximum of two (2) different concepts and/or units for the playground site. Proposer should submit a traditional playground concept and a modern playground concept for the site.; • Designed for children with an age range between five (5) through twelve (12) years old.; • Provide an interesting variety of features that will fit into a project site of approximately fifty (50) feet by one hundred fifty (150) feet and site area may be increased if needed.; • All Equipment shall be of commercial quality and require minimal maintenance.; • Playground components, which include 5” O.D. post and steel decks are preferred. Equipment made of wood shall not be permitted.; • All equipment must conform to safety standards set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).; • Include signage and Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) surfacing.; • Undertake and pass a post installation audit done by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector; Play Product Installation: A. Proposers are responsible for examining the site prior to submitting a proposal and notifying the City of any issues prior to submittal.; B. Embedded Anchoring and leveling Systems: The anchoring system shall have an integrated leveling system facilitating installation, ensuring product is installed at the desired height.; C. When applicable, templates shall be supplied to facilitate the installation of embedded anchoring equipment.; D. Drawings and Instructions: Product drawings and installation manuals shall be supplied by the manufacturer for ease of installation.
