Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Consulting, Reporting, and Education a. The Consulting, Reporting, and Education fee is a fixed rate price for all consulting, reporting, and education during the annual contract term. b. Monthly reports shall provide written and digital documentation of all services provided to City and retain application records as directed by Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Service (TDA/SPCS) and TCEQ NPDES c. Contractor will assist City staff during City Hall, public, City Council, and similar public education and outreach meetings. d. Provide a “hotline” for residents to report mosquito issues. e. Review the City’s website regarding West Nile Virus and provide updates annually. 2. Mosquito Surveillance a. During the terms of this agreement the following services shall be provided during the mosquito breeding season beginning April 1st and continuing for 30 weeks: i. Larvae breeding sites such as ditches, tire piles, artificial containers, septic ponds, rainwater pools, etc. will be inspected at least weekly. Four (4) Gravid or CDC light Traps will be set beginning April 1 st weekly for 30 weeks throughout the year. In addition, adult mosquito populations will be monitored using light traps, landing rates, and resting station, if necessary. All collection will be identified as to species and population distributions. Density will be plotted to detect any changes in problem areas. In addition to identification as to species and population distribution, disease vector species will be pooled form each trap location and will test mosquito pool for West Nile Virus.
