Specifications include, but are not limited to: Goal is to obtain one vendor or multiple vendors who can work on different projects related to outreach and nutrition education, towards the ultimate goal of increased WIC enrollment to achieve equity in at-risk and underserved populations. Examples of projects could be virtual cooking demonstrations and virtual nutrition education (classes, cooking lesson). Another example is representation of WIC and recruitment of WIC participants at community events, employer sites, day cares, medical offices, grocery shopping tours, in-store food demos. RFP applicants are encouraged to think out of the box for recruitment ideas. Ideas could be Farmers’ Market events, grocery store education events, marketing of new WIC foods and services.
