Specifications include, but are not limited to: Landscape architect services specific to the rehabilitation of the Bushnell Apartment site on the main campus. The selected Landscape Architect (LA), working in conjunction with KSC staff and stakeholders will develop the site program, support the permitting process, construction documents and provide construction administrative support services. Planning/Program Working with KSC staff and stakeholders the project team will develop a present document to introduce a proposed concept to Cabinet and Administration for review and approval. This document shall incorporate sound and constructable design concepts within the tight budget constraints. Detailed Design Documents The successful LA will develop full and constructible design including: • Design and bidding documents with at least one interim review set of documents that will fully define the project. • Integrate the landscape architectural design services with the civil engineer to ensure the documents fully incorporate the design on documents that allow for full construction. • Develop a design that uses non-proprietary components as necessary for the project that are as efficient and simple to maintain. • Ensure that the design stays within the construction budget, working with college representatives to identify cost efficiencies and bid alternates that do not compromise the long-term functionality of the space. If Value Engineering (VE) is employed during the project the design team shall work with the Construction Manager to identify the ROI and financial impact of proposed VE item. • Incorporate University construction standards into all specifications.
