Specifications include, but are not limited to: install approximately 68 feet of 103” X 71” Polymer Coated Corrugated Metal Pipe Arch culvert pipe to replace a failing 52-inch Corrugated Metal Pipe. This work will also include installation of 42 linear feet of 8” PVC sewer main, 1 inside drop sewer manhole, relocating a 16-inch water main under the culvert, 1 catch basin, 71 lineal feet of 24-inch stormdrain, maintaining stream flows, maintaining sewer flows, erosion control, traffic control, and roadway restoration.; • Provide a designated project manager.; • Provide a construction schedule with a specific timeline for culvert installation; • Provide a traffic control plan.; • Provide adequate erosion control measures to protect adjacent natural resources in accordance with all state and local regulations.; • Obtain all necessary permits, except NRPA permit-by-rule for culvert installation, and Army Corp of Engineers permit, which the City is responsible for obtaining, if needed.; • Confirm the location of all existing utilities in the field.; • Replace site features after completion of installation as noted on plans; • Relocate existing 16-inch cast iron water main at an elevation which will maintain a 3-foot clearance (minimum) from the new 103” X 71” Polymer Coated CMPPA culvert. Coordinate work with Bangor Water District.; • Relocate existing 8-inch sewer at lower elevation including modification of an existing manhole, and the installation of a new 4-foot inside drop manhole.; • Install 68 feet of 103” X 71” Polymer Coated CMPPA culvert pipe and place stream bed material within.; • Install 1 catch basin, 71 feet of 24-inch stormdrain.; • Maintain flow of existing stream at all times.; • Maintain flow of existing sanitary sewer at all times.; • Restore all pavement and curbing disturbed during the project.; • Install guardrail.; • Regrade slopes adjacent to pipe and protect with geotextile fabric and riprap.; • Restore all other disturbed areas.; • Coordinate work with Arctic Brook Fluvial Geomorphology Improvements project.
