Specifications include, but are not limited to: Childcare services will be provided during regularly scheduled school days between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and6:00 p.m. A copy of the School District’s calendar will be furnished at the beginning of each school year. A vendor meeting will be held prior to the first day of school to review guidelines and responsibilities. Providers will be notified by mail and phone two (2) weeks prior to meeting date. A representative from your center must attend this meeting. The Child Care Program will be conducted in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the Texas Education Agency (TEA), local health and fire departments, must be licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS), and continue vendor status with Child Care Services (CCS).Program Details The principle elements of the program are set forth as follows:1.Care will be provided for children beginning at age 6 weeks.2.Provide care for children of qualified students while in school, working, or involved in other school-relatedactivities.3.Contact the SAISD School Age Parenting Program if: (1) a situation arises that requires the Child Care Center to notify the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services or any other law enforcement agency, or (2)if your agency is placed on probationary status with childcare licensing and or Child Care Services (CCS).4.Agree to unannounced visits from the SAISD School Age Parenting Program or any District representative, asrequired.5.Contact the SAISD School Age Parenting Program if a child is receiving inadequate care outside the Child CareCenter.6.Interact with parents to discuss parenting/ skills/ responsibilities in a positive manner.7.Contact an Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program provider to acquire appropriate services if a child shows signs of developmental delays. Notify SAISD School Age Parenting Program if ECI services are provided.8.Nutritious meals and snacks must be provided for the children through a combination of the following:•Coordination with the parents for instant meals, i.e. baby formula •Provisions by the Child Care provider9.The Child Care Provider will provide for, manage, and administer all aspects of the program, including:•Staffing and supervision •Care and maintenance of equipment and furniture •Supplies; including office, health, and hygiene •Care, education, and health programs •Age appropriate activities •School and community agency coordination •Administration and management oversight10.Notify the SAISD School Age Parenting Program when a child has been absent 3 days in one week even if you have been notified by the parent. If the School Age Parenting Program is not notified, the Child Care Center will not be paid for that week.11.Child care services will be terminated upon verbal notification by SAISD Official, the School Age Parent, or CCS.12.If problems arise regarding the details outlined in agreement, contact School Age Parenting Office, at (210) 438-6815.
