Specifications include, but are not limited to: The training facility will be constructed to and operated in compliance with NFPA 1402, Guide to Building Fire Service Training Centers, and applicable OSHA requirements. Rappelling anchors must be tested and certified by a 3rd Party Testing Laboratory for compliance with applicable NFPA and OSHA codes. Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) fueled training facilities shall be tested and certified by a 3 rd Party Testing Laboratory as suggested by NFPA 1402 and comply with NFPA 86 and UL 508A. A list of past projects showing the bidder’s capability to construct a quality and code compliant facility must be provided. No fabrication work shall be outsourced to sub-contractors. All work must be performed in-house under the direct supervision of high quality team members. The bidder must have the capability to provide civil engineering services if requested by the purchaser prior to contract. An isometric CAD rendering of the proposed facility shall be submitted with the bid proposal.; The training facility shall be a three-story structure fabricated from three (3) NEW 8ft Wide x 8.5ft Tall x 40ft Long International Organization for Standardization (ISO) freight containers, and one (1) 20ft Long container for the third level. The containers shall be connected and provided with sufficient openings to allow maximum utilization of all interior space. The exterior of the facility shall be coated with a high grade industrial direct to metal paint. An OSHA compliant Interior steel stair and handrail system for container interconnection shall be provided.; The main level shall contain (2) steel reinforced standard windows with a latching closure system. The windows be securable from the interior to prevent unwanted entrance into the facility. One of the windows will be configured to “Denver Drill” dimensions.; An exterior steel stair system shall be provided from ground level to the rear of level two and the rooftop of the main level. An exterior steel personnel door shall be provided on level two. Each level will contain an 8’ x 4’ Landing.; An OSHA compliant galvanized guardrail, toe-kick, and grating system encompassing all accessible and useable rooftops shall be provided. The system must provide a nonslip training area at the container rooftops.; An 8ft Wide x 10ft Tall x 10ft Long Galvanized Rappelling Tower shall be provided as the fourth level. The tower shall be accessed via a caged ladder from the third level. The tower will contain (4) 5,000lb OSHA compliant rope anchors and rope guide system, rappelling wall, bail-out window, standard rappelling, negative edge rappelling, and contain a guardrail system. The rappelling tower shall be third-party tested and certified.; The unit must contain a manufacturers standard reconfigurable confined Space and USAR maze system consisting of several full-height continuous steel panels extending from the container floor to the container ceiling. The system is to be constructed such that the user can rotate the panels 360-degrees to quickly reconfigure the floor space to achieve the desired training scenario (hallways, rooms, etc.). A vertical confined space tube with corresponding hatches shall be provided and located as specified by the purchaser.; (2) Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Fueled Props within (2) designated burn room shall be provided. (1) Prop will be configured as a Ceiling Mounted Rollover and (1) Prop will be configured as a residential furniture prop. (1) mechanical fan system, (1) gas detection system, and (1) four zone temperature monitoring system must be provided and interlocked with (1) exterior mounted control panel for independent prop operation. An exterior mounted load center for on-site electrical service connection by purchaser must also be included. The LPG System hall be tested and certified by a Nationally Recognized (third-party) Testing Laboratory (NRTL) as suggested by NFPA 1402.
